Zillow Group Faces Securities Class Action Over Alleged Misleading Claims

Investors who purchased Zillow Group, Inc. stock between February 11, 2025, and May 7, 2026, are being urged to join a class action lawsuit. Schall, Brown & Schwartz LLP claims the real estate company misled shareholders by misrepresenting an acquisition as a partnership to conceal antitrust risks.

Zillow Group Faces Securities Class Action Over Alleged Misleading Claims

The litigation centers on allegations that Zillow violated the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 by issuing false statements regarding its dealings with Redfin. While Zillow publicly framed the agreement as a partnership, the complaint alleges it functioned as an acquisition, significantly increasing the company’s exposure to antitrust scrutiny. The firm contends that Zillow continued to downplay these legal risks even after formal antitrust action was initiated against the company. Once the nature of the deal and the resulting exposure became public, the stock price adjusted, leaving investors with financial losses. Shareholders have until August 10, 2026, to seek appointment as lead plaintiff in the ongoing case. Participation does not require an immediate commitment to lead status, and those who remain passive will continue as absent class members unless the class is formally certified.
