Removing the mechanical hurdles of gas-powered engines, Hangzhou-based ORYXEARTH is pushing into the electric dirt bike market with its new VRME1000-5. The model, aimed at riders 14 and older, replaces manual gear shifting with a throttle-only interface, seeking to simplify trail access for families and recreational enthusiasts.
Founder Steven Yang describes the bike as a "charge-and-go" solution intended to lower the barrier for outdoor recreation. Since its debut in the U.S. market this past May, the bike has been sold via major online retailers including Amazon and Walmart, with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $1,299. The company, which gained recognition on the RangeMe Top 50 General Merchandise list last year, continues to expand its footprint in the portable power and outdoor hobbyist space.
