Delegates and bishops traveling to South Korea for World Youth Day 2027 will stay at Shilla Stay properties, following a memorandum of understanding signed between the hotel brand and the event's Local Organizing Committee at Myeongdong Cathedral on July 30.
Sang-oh Park, CEO of Shilla HM, and Fr. Simone Nam-kyun Kim, Executive Secretary of the organizing committee, finalized the deal to ensure that participants experience consistent service standards throughout the global gathering. The event, which marks the second time the Catholic Church’s international youth festival has been held in Asia, relies on the hotel’s ability to scale its operations to meet the specific requirements of high-profile international visitors.
