The acquisition, announced August 10, 2026, allows the IT services giant to address the mounting pressures healthcare organizations face regarding clinical, operational, and workforce system stability. By absorbing Healthcare IT Leaders, Kyndryl will gain direct access to the application and consulting layers of major national health systems, federal, academic, and pediatric institutions.
Jamie Rutledge, president of Kyndryl U.S., stated that the partnership positions the company to better support providers and payors navigating intense regulatory demands and digital modernization. While terms of the transaction remain undisclosed, the deal is expected to close during the second quarter of Kyndryl’s 2027 fiscal year, pending standard regulatory reviews and closing conditions.
