Commercial property insurer FM has acquired FortressFire, a technology firm specializing in physics-based wildfire risk modeling. The transaction, for which financial terms remain undisclosed, integrates FortressFire’s proprietary structure-specific intelligence into FM’s engineering-led approach to property loss prevention and risk mitigation for its global policyholders.
Malcolm Roberts, chairman and chief executive officer of FM, emphasized that the move aligns with the company's commitment to data-driven risk management.
