Quarterly revenue climbed to $138.7 million, marking a 70% increase year-over-year. This performance was underpinned by robust cash flow from operating activities, which reached $61.7 million. Despite these financial gains, the company faced operational headwinds in China, where it voluntarily suspended activity at its Ying Mining District and GC Mine in mid-June to align with new government safety regulations and implement comprehensive underground upgrades.

Silvercorp Metals generated $53.9 million in adjusted net income during the first quarter of fiscal 2027, a significant leap from the $21 million reported in the same period last year, as the company benefited from a 135% surge in realized silver prices to $69.38 per ounce.

Capital deployment remained aggressive, with $37.7 million invested in growth and development projects. Key expenditures included $12.3 million for the El Domo mine in Ecuador, where construction remains on track for a July 2027 commissioning. While production volumes for silver dipped slightly to 1.5 million ounces, the company maintained a solid treasury position with $387.1 million in cash and short-term investments, even after accounting for the $60 million acquisition of the Chaarat ZAAV mine. Management expects safety-related upgrades to impact output by up to 50% in the upcoming quarter as the firm prioritizes long-term compliance.
