Green Evolution Technologies Claims Hydrogel Manufacturing Breakthrough

Fifteen million dollars in pre-orders and a promise of extreme capital efficiency have put Fresno-based Green Evolution Technologies in the spotlight. The company claims its patented hydrogel platform, InteliGel, produces industrial-scale output at a fraction of the cost required by traditional manufacturing competitors, aiming to reshape agricultural resource infrastructure.

The core of the company’s model lies in a manufacturing process that requires $40 million in capital to reach an annual output of 30,000 tons. Conventional facilities of similar scale typically demand upwards of $300 million, giving the startup a 7.5-fold efficiency advantage. Co-founders Argina Mardiyan and Zarzand Alaverdyan state that their platform is the culmination of 55 years of research, designed to produce ultra-pure hydrogel without the toxic residuals common in standard chemical production.

Since 2024, the company has utilized a pilot facility in Fresno, California, constructed for less than $1 million, to validate its approach. This facility has supplied field trials that caught the attention of agricultural operators and researchers at institutions including Cornell University and South Dakota State University. In the 2025 annual technology evaluation by the Precision Technology Institute, InteliGel reached the top five, marking a climb from its top-ten ranking the previous year.

Green Evolution Technologies is now planning a network of 20 domestic production sites. Internal projections estimate that this scale could generate $6 billion in revenue and $3.8 billion in EBITDA. To demonstrate these capabilities, the company will host a public field event on August 18-19, 2026, at the Precision Technology Institute’s research farm in Pontiac, Illinois, where they intend to present multi-year trial data to growers and industry stakeholders.
