Hyundai and electronic artist KIRARA turn factory sounds into music

KIRARA designed the soundscape to mirror the production cycle, starting with an ambient introduction that suggests raw potential before building into layered, rhythmic sequences that signify a vehicle’s final, crystalline form. The artist noted that her experience exploring the group's manufacturing facilities mirrored the wonder of learning synthesis, prompting her to aim for a sound that reflects technical refinement.

KIRARA, a two-time Korean Music Award winner for Best Electronic Album, has spent over a decade performing at global events ranging from the Venice Biennale to SXSW. Her work typically balances 1990s British dance influences with 2000s Japanese electronic aesthetics. 'Temper' is currently available on major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube, with a dedicated visual project showcasing the group's manufacturing technologies scheduled for release later this year.
