The MHS Serves Workforce Support Program focuses on tangible outcomes, requiring recipient organizations to hit specific benchmarks in job placement, credentialing, and retention. This funding reach spans a broad geographic footprint, covering 70 counties from Lake to Vanderburgh, ensuring that support reaches both urban centers and rural communities.
Among the fifteen organizations selected for partnership are Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana, Aspire Indiana Health, Blue Jacket, Inc., and the Indiana University Health Foundation. These groups will utilize the capital to expand existing workforce development pipelines, specifically tailoring their services to the needs of Medicaid-eligible populations who often face significant hurdles to entering the labor market. By financing both program practices and professional development, MHS aims to bridge the gap between healthcare access and sustainable employment for its long-term members.
