Ricardo Chamorro, executive vice president of consumer banking and growth, framed the expansion as a strategic investment in the region. Beyond offering loan products and savings accounts, the branch provides notary and medallion stamp services, alongside live teller assistance. The center operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CDT and on Saturdays until noon.
PenFed Credit Union Expands Texas Footprint with Boerne Branch
A fresh ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official debut of PenFed Credit Union’s Lemon Creek financial center at 29252 IH 10w, Suite 114, in Boerne, Texas. This site stands as the eighth location for the credit union in the state, signaling a push to broaden local access to banking services.

This move strengthens a Texas portfolio that already includes branches in Dallas, San Antonio, Cibolo, Temple, and the Fort Hood area. While membership is required to access these financial products, the credit union maintains an open-enrollment policy for all prospective members. Managing $29 billion in assets, the institution continues to scale its physical presence to support its global base of 2.8 million members.
