Superina joins the firm from UBS, where he previously served as Head of Global Banking Switzerland. His career spans nearly three decades, including significant tenures at Credit Suisse, where he led M&A divisions for both Switzerland and Northern Europe. He will operate under the guidance of Marcus Schenck, who heads Lazard’s Financial Advisory business for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

The appointment underscores Lazard’s broader 2030 growth strategy, which prioritizes the expansion of its advisory coverage in key European markets. Schenck noted that the firm intends to combine local market intimacy with the reach of its global advisory platform to better serve the Swiss economy’s unique blend of global champions and private enterprises. Superina, who holds a doctorate in banking and finance from the University of Zurich, emphasized that he intends to leverage Lazard’s independent advisory model to navigate the complex strategic requirements of his new client base.
