The partnership combines LUBA’s thirty years of regional workers' compensation expertise with Convr’s proprietary Risk Context Engine. This system utilizes a commercial property and casualty ontology developed over a decade to ingest data from ACORD forms, loss runs, and broker communications. By shifting manual triage to automated workflows, the carrier expects to shorten cycle times and reduce the need for internal referral dependencies.
LUBA Workers' Comp Adopts Convr AI to Automate Underwriting
Baton Rouge-based LUBA Workers' Comp is integrating Convr’s AI-native underwriting workbench to accelerate submission processing and risk analysis. By deploying the platform across its Southeast operations, the regional carrier aims to automate data extraction and standardize decision-making while maintaining its existing technology infrastructure.
Beyond internal improvements, this deployment marks a broader expansion for Convr through an integration with Sapiens International Corporation. The technical link between the two platforms allows mutual customers to manage the full lifecycle from initial submission intake to final underwriting decision within the Sapiens ecosystem. Convr CEO John Stammen noted that the collaboration focuses on providing explainable, grounded AI tools intended to augment rather than replace human underwriting discipline.
