Luma Health and PCC Integrate AI Tools for Pediatric Practices

Over 300 independent pediatric practices across the United States are set to overhaul their patient communications through a new partnership between Physician’s Computer Company and Luma Health. The collaboration embeds Luma’s AI-driven platform directly into PCC’s electronic health records, aiming to automate scheduling and messaging for 1,400 providers.

The integration allows clinics to manage two-way messaging with parents and caregivers in more than 30 languages. By automating notifications for upcoming appointments and ad hoc updates during clinic closures, the system is designed to reduce the manual administrative burden currently placed on pediatric staff. Administrators will manage these interactions through a centralized dashboard that links directly to existing patient records.

PCC CEO Chip Hart noted that the move is part of a long-term goal to remove operational obstacles for independent clinics. For providers like Brenna Zimmerman, practice manager at Topeka Pediatrics, the shift is expected to prioritize face-to-face care over repetitive office tasks. The technology was unveiled to providers during PCC’s recent annual Users' Conference, with full implementation for the client base scheduled to begin this fall.
