San Diego-based biopharmaceutical firm Amplifica Holdings Group has appointed Hans Hofland as Chief Development Officer and added William Humphries to its board of directors, signaling a strategic push to advance clinical-stage therapies designed to reactivate dormant hair follicles and address androgenetic alopecia.
William Humphries brings a extensive background in commercialization and corporate governance to the board. Currently the CEO of MedPharm, Humphries has previously led North American operations for Merz and held executive positions at Allergan and Ortho Dermatologics. He also maintains board seats at Aclaris Therapeutics and Cutera. According to CEO Frank Fazio, these additions provide the technical and commercial oversight necessary to transition the company’s nature-inspired hair-regrowth candidates through upcoming clinical trials.
