TiGames Unveils ZOOPUNK at gamescom 2026

Amid the neon-soaked reveal of Opening Night Live, Shanghai-based developer TiGames showcased the first trailer for ZOOPUNK, a prequel to F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch. The footage introduced three playable animal heroes and teased a mysterious fourth protagonist, setting the stage for a revolution within the turbulent Torch City metropolis.

Set decades before the events of the original title, the game expands the Animal Punk universe by blending untamed wilderness with advanced machinery. Players navigate a world defined by the Spark—a mysterious power source fueling the technology and ideologies that drive the conflict. Unlike its predecessor, the narrative shifts toward complex political friction, where rival animal factions and clashing perspectives on consciousness complicate the struggle against the encroaching Machine Legion.

Combat mechanics leverage distinct animal traits to define playstyles. Rayton the Rabbit emphasizes speed and electrically charged aerial combos, while Braton the Rhino acts as a frontline anchor, utilizing a massive chainsaw and defensive maneuvers. Trixie the Chipmunk rounds out the trio, focusing on acrobatic gun-fu and precise ammo management. Beyond the reveal, TiGames is hosting private demonstrations in Cologne, utilizing GeForce RTX 5080-powered rigs to showcase the game's expansive environments, which range from dense forests to high-flying airships. A deeper look at the gameplay is scheduled for the IGN Show on August 26.
