Alain Krief steps into the global CIO role and joins the executive committee, reporting directly to global CEO Christophe Caspar. Krief brings over three decades of expertise in fixed income and credit markets to the position. Before this promotion, he led the firm’s fixed income division since 2019, managing €12 billion in assets. His previous career includes senior roles at Oddo BHF Asset Management and BNP Paribas.

Joining on September 28, Charles Lilford will co-lead the equities franchise alongside Xiadong Bao, while also serving as senior portfolio manager for the firm’s €3.4 billion Big Data strategy. Lilford arrives from BlackRock, where he spent a decade managing thematic funds, including the BGF Sustainable Energy Fund. His background spans private equity and infrastructure investment, with a focus on technology and energy sectors.

These appointments occur during a period of sustained growth for the firm. Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management recorded €5.4 billion in net inflows for 2025, contributing to a total of €17.5 billion in new capital over the past five years. Total assets under management now stand at €107 billion.
