On September 9, 2026, the start of the professional football season, Pret A Manger is turning nostalgia into a promotion. Customers who walk into participating U.S. shops wearing the jersey of any retired athlete will receive a free Pick Your Pair meal, provided it includes an item from the chain’s new menu.
Felipe Athayde, President of Pret A Manger North America, stated that the decision to revive these recipes followed a positive reaction to the company’s earlier "2016 Rewind" menu. The one-day jersey promotion is limited to dine-in and takeout orders at locations in New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Philadelphia. The offer is restricted to one meal per person, while supplies last, and cannot be combined with other discounts or digital delivery services.
