Since the implementation, the facility has successfully automated more than 64,000 receipts over a six-month period. By capturing SKU and lot information instantly as pallets pass through the towers, the system reduces a process that previously took minutes to mere seconds. This shift supports a daily volume exceeding 500 pallets, allowing staff to pivot from repetitive data entry toward more value-added warehouse tasks.

Elliott Wolf, Lineage’s Chief Data Scientist, noted that the technology removes friction from the most labor-intensive segments of their operation. Beyond simple speed, the digital integration ensures higher accuracy in inventory tracking, which is critical for food manufacturing and cold chain traceability. Following this success, the company plans to expand its automation capabilities in Decatur with the launch of automated load scanning to further increase throughput.
