The event moves beyond conventional industry discussions, prioritizing the creation of an actionable blueprint for behavioral health standards. Michael Castanon, CEO of Alter Behavioral Health and founder of the consortium, envisions a collaborative environment where cross-sector stakeholders move toward measurable progress rather than passive discourse. Participants will engage in workshops and panels covering regulatory compliance and service delivery models.
Industry Leaders Convene at BHOC26 to Standardize Behavioral Health
From September 8 to 10, 2026, the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach in Dana Point will host the inaugural Behavioral Health Outcomes Consortium. Organized by Alter Behavioral Health and Care Predictor, the summit aims to unify providers, researchers, and policymakers under a single framework for measuring and improving patient care outcomes.

Key industry players including executives from Optum, Magellan Health, Carelon, and TPN.Health are scheduled to attend. The sessions focus on bridging the gap between fragmented data and a unified infrastructure for patient accountability. Trevor Colhoun, CEO of TPN.Health and Payer Chair of the consortium, emphasized that the goal is to challenge existing assumptions and foster consensus across the healthcare landscape. The three-day gathering will conclude with a keynote address by former U.S. Representative Patrick J. Kennedy, a prominent advocate for mental health reform and co-founder of The Kennedy Forum.
