Hisense Claims Majority of Global 100-Inch TV Market

Capturing 55.1% of the global market in the first half of 2026, Hisense has solidified its dominance in the ultra-large television segment. Data from Omdia confirms the manufacturer now leads shipments for screens 100 inches and above, driven by rising consumer demand for immersive home cinema experiences.

This performance underscores a shift toward larger displays, with Hisense leveraging its UR9 Series to push RGB MiniLED technology. By independently controlling red, green, and blue light at the backlight source, the company aims to enhance color depth and contrast. Jason Ou, President of Hisense for the Middle East, Africa, and India, attributed the growth to a surging appetite for cinematic home entertainment, noting that the company’s innovation strategy remains focused on expanding the capabilities of large-format screens.

Beyond traditional LED panels, Hisense maintains a dominant position in the Laser TV category, accounting for over 70% of global shipments in 2025. The company intends to build on these figures at the upcoming IFA trade show in Berlin, where it will host a press conference on September 3 to detail its latest technological developments. With a portfolio that now includes the U7 and U6 Pro Series—utilizing Hi-QLED MiniLED technology—the manufacturer continues to prioritize high-end display performance for the mass market.
