The WXA-70A functions as a standalone streaming amplifier capable of powering passive speakers, while the WXC-70A acts as a dedicated preamplifier designed to upgrade existing audio setups. Both units center on an audiophile-grade ESS SABRE ES9039Q2M DAC, ensuring that high-resolution audio remains faithful to original recordings. The hardware supports a wide array of streaming protocols, including AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Roon Ready, and native integration for services like TIDAL, Qobuz, and Spotify Connect.

Beyond streaming, Yamaha has prioritized integration with modern home entertainment systems.
