Geneva-based Pictet reported a 12 percent jump in net profit to SFr371 million for the first half of 2026, defying a challenging geopolitical climate. Operating income for the group reached SFr1.637 billion, marking a 4 percent increase over the same period in 2025. While expenses grew marginally by 1 percent to SFr1.165 billion, the firm maintained a strong financial position. By June 30, 2026, the group’s equity stood at SFr3.17 billion, with a total capital ratio of 21.9 percent—nearly double the 12 percent threshold mandated by Swiss regulator FINMA.

Senior managing partner Marc Pictet credited the results to the bank's resilience in complex market conditions. The performance aligns with broader trends among Swiss private banks, as peers Lombard Odier and Mirabaud also recently posted growth. Lombard Odier saw its assets under management rise to a record SFr239 billion, while Mirabaud reported a stable net profit of SFr12.3 million with assets under management climbing to SFr32.4 billion.
