Retired Rear Adm. Alan Reyes, President and CEO of Operation Homefront, stated that Witt’s background in navigating complex corporate environments is expected to help the organization expand its impact. The nonprofit manages over $40 million in annual programming, focusing on preventing short-term financial hardships from becoming long-term struggles for veterans and active-duty families. Witt described the appointment as a rare opportunity to serve those who sacrifice for the country, noting the personal significance of the mission. At Northrop Grumman, Witt oversees corporate energy, risk functions, and safety initiatives. He holds engineering degrees from the University of Michigan and Michigan State University, alongside an MBA from Northwood University. Board Chair Karen Genneken emphasized that his expertise in building high-performing teams will strengthen the organization’s efforts to build resilience within military communities.
