VanTrust Breaks Ground on Rio Del Oro Industrial Park in Rancho Cordova

A 18.72-acre site at the intersection of Rancho Cordova Parkway and Gold Dredge Way is transforming as VanTrust Real Estate begins construction on a 282,435-square-foot industrial complex. The project, slated for completion in summer 2027, aims to fill a supply gap for mid-sized warehouse space in the Sacramento region.

The Rio Del Oro Business Park will consist of three Class A shallow-bay buildings measuring 112,825, 103,690, and 65,920 square feet. Designed to accommodate tenants requiring between 15,000 and 50,000 square feet, the development offers flexible floor plans starting at 15,600 square feet. Each facility features dock-high and grade-level loading, ample truck courts, and 360 parking stalls to serve the local manufacturing and logistics sector.

Strategically located along the U.S. Highway 50 corridor, the site offers proximity to Sacramento Mather Airport and essential transit routes like Interstate 5 and Interstate 80. Tyler Williams, Senior Director of Development at VanTrust, noted that the site was selected for its accessibility and the city’s collaborative approach to industrial growth. The project team includes HPA Architecture, general contractor Uprite Construction, and civil engineer Wood Rodgers, Inc.

Colliers brokers Mark Demetre, Michael Hoo, and Nathan Miller are managing leasing efforts for the development. Demetre highlighted that local businesses have faced a shortage of modern options in this size bracket, a trend that this project intends to reverse. For VanTrust, this investment marks a significant expansion into the Sacramento market, adding to a national portfolio that encompasses 80 million square feet of developed assets.
