JFL Credit Backs Powerhouse Engines Expansion Into Trading Market

Miami-based aviation services firm Powerhouse Engines is launching a dedicated engine investment program backed by New York-based JFL Credit Opportunities. The partnership provides fresh capital for the company to accelerate its transition from exclusive leasing and maintenance operations into the competitive commercial engine trading and aftermarket parts sector.

JFL Credit Backs Powerhouse Engines Expansion Into Trading Market

Powerhouse Engines has built its reputation on the servicing and leasing of CFM56 commercial engines, relying on internal technical expertise and rapid turnaround times to secure its position in the aviation market. By securing investment from JFL Credit affiliates, the company intends to scale its infrastructure to support broader acquisition opportunities. This shift allows Powerhouse to integrate its existing maintenance, repair, and overhaul capabilities with a new engine trading division, offering a more comprehensive suite of services to global airlines and lessors.

Lionel Jolivot, Partner at JFL Credit, noted that the company’s ability to solve complex technical problems provides a strong foundation for this growth. Eric Engdahl, CEO of Powerhouse, confirmed that the influx of capital will be deployed immediately to pursue engine acquisitions, effectively leveraging the company’s current leasing and MRO footprint to capture a larger share of the aftermarket industry.
