The merger combines Salute’s existing lifecycle services with the technical expertise of T5 Operations, a firm with a 12-year track record in mission-critical facility management. CEO Erich Sanchack stated that the integration aligns with the company's objective to support the next generation of hyperscale and cloud infrastructure while maintaining a commitment to local community development. The transaction, pending regulatory approval, will significantly broaden Salute’s reach, pushing its managed capacity beyond 15 GW across 150 global markets.
Salute to Acquire T5 Operations in Data Center Expansion
Austin-based data center service provider Salute has signed a definitive agreement to acquire T5 Operations, a strategic move designed to bolster its facility management capabilities as demand for AI and high-performance computing infrastructure surges globally.
Following the acquisition, Salute’s workforce will grow to more than 3,800 employees. Pete Marin, Chairman and CEO of T5 Data Centers, will transition to the Salute board, while T5 Operations Executive Vice President David Mettler will join the Salute executive leadership team. As part of this corporate restructuring, the remaining T5 Construction division will rebrand as EverOn Data Center Services, operating as an independent entity. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, though Lazard served as the exclusive financial advisor for T5 Operations, with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP providing legal counsel to Salute.
