Hyundai Mobis Opens Electric Powertrain Plant in Slovakia
With the capacity to produce 280,000 units annually, Hyundai Mobis has launched its first European Power Electric system plant in Nováky. The facility, which integrates electric motors, inverters, and reduction gears, marks a strategic expansion for the South Korean supplier as it targets a larger share of the continental EV market.
This site complements existing battery system assembly operations in the Czech Republic and Spain. By localizing production of these core components, Hyundai Mobis aims to shorten supply chains and accelerate its transition toward future mobility. The company has set a target to increase revenue from non-affiliated global customers to 40% by 2033, utilizing this Slovak hub as a primary engine for that growth.
