BRP Names Minh Thanh Tran as Next CFO Following Martel Retirement

After a twelve-year tenure marked by the company's 2013 initial public offering, BRP Chief Financial Officer Sébastien Martel will retire from his post on October 1, 2026. He will be succeeded by internal candidate Minh Thanh Tran, who currently oversees corporate strategy and major transformation initiatives at the powersports manufacturer.

Martel will stay with the Valcourt-based firm as an executive advisor to CEO Denis Le Vot until April 2027 to ensure an orderly handover. Le Vot credited Martel with establishing the financial discipline that supported BRP’s growth into a global entity with annual sales of CA$8.4 billion. During his time as CFO, Martel navigated the company through its 2013 Toronto Stock Exchange debut and its 2018 listing on the NASDAQ.

Minh Thanh Tran joined BRP in 2017 after a career in investment and corporate banking at Lazard and BMO Capital Markets, where he previously assisted with the company's IPO. Since moving in-house, Tran has managed significant operational milestones, including the implementation of a new North American ERP system and the development of the company’s M28 strategic plan. His appointment is part of a long-term succession strategy intended to maintain continuity as BRP pursues its current product pipeline and manufacturing expansion into Asia.
