Truist hits 2 billion milestone with AI-driven financial insights

Since 2023, Truist Financial Corporation has pushed more than 2 billion personalized financial alerts to its consumer and small business clients. The bank is increasingly embedding these data-driven prompts directly into mobile dashboards and digital banking interfaces to help customers track cash flow and identify potential transaction errors in real time.

Truist hits 2 billion milestone with AI-driven financial insights

The Charlotte-based lender reports that the initiative, dubbed Truist Insights, uses AI to transform raw account data into actionable advice. By monitoring patterns such as subscription changes, balance fluctuations, and duplicate transactions, the system aims to provide proactive support rather than traditional reactive banking. According to bank executives, this strategy has yielded a 4.5 client satisfaction rating and high engagement levels among users who interact with the prompts.

Dontá Wilson, Chief Consumer and Small Business Banking Officer, framed the milestone as a move toward "proactive care" that blends automated digital intelligence with human expertise. The bank currently sees over 70% of transactions occurring through digital channels, and the integration of these insights into tools like Truist Assist is designed to capture client attention when they are already managing their money. While clients retain the ability to disable these notifications, the firm intends to expand the personalization engine further into additional channels and internal teammate tools to maintain its competitive edge in digital banking.
