Red Metal Resources Starts Royalty Revenue With Early Farellon Delivery

Vancouver-based Red Metal Resources has hit a production milestone at its Chilean Farellon project, successfully delivering its first batch of copper sulphide ore to the state-run ENAMI processing plant. The shipment arrived four months ahead of the schedule outlined in the company's original mining agreement with operator Minera KMT SpA.

The August shipments comprised 16 truckloads totaling approximately 591.66 tonnes of ore extracted from Level 7 of the Farellon 1/8 concession. This progress comes just three months after the formal mining agreement was signed on May 14, 2026, significantly outpacing the seven-month development window initially projected. The company expects these activities to provide non-dilutive royalty revenue, which will offset administrative costs while exploration efforts continue elsewhere on the Carrizal property.

Under the current arrangement, Red Metal is entitled to a 10% net sales royalty on minerals sold to ENAMI. After accounting for a pre-existing 1.5% obligation to the original concession vendor, the company retains an effective 8.5% royalty. While the operator handles day-to-day mining and regulatory compliance, Red Metal maintains technical oversight, including ongoing sampling and independent laboratory analysis to verify copper, gold, and silver grades. CEO Caitlin Jeffs noted that the start of revenue generation aligns with a period of high copper market prices, bolstering the company's ability to fund upcoming drill targets scheduled for later this year.
