California American Water Launches $8.6 Million Lincoln Oaks Project
California American Water has launched an $8.6 million initiative to replace aging infrastructure in the Sylvan Park neighborhood of Citrus Heights. The project aims to modernize the Lincoln Oaks water system by relocating pipes from private backyards to public streets, enhancing maintenance access for roughly 245 local customers.
Usmita Pokharel, senior manager of project engineering, noted that these upgrades are foundational to maintaining consistent service quality. Construction began in August 2026 and is slated to continue through June 2027. The work area encompasses the neighborhood bounded by Auburn Boulevard, Cotillion Way, Sylvan Middle School, and the Westchester and Grenola streets.
