Walgreens Launches 2026-2027 COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign
With respiratory virus season approaching, Walgreens has opened its 2026-2027 COVID-19 vaccine rollout across its U.S. network. The pharmacy chain is encouraging patients to combine their COVID-19 shots with flu, RSV, and pneumococcal immunizations in a single visit to streamline protection against circulating seasonal illnesses.

To incentivize participation, the pharmacy is offering $15 in rewards for myWalgreens members who receive a vaccine and make a subsequent in-store purchase of $5 or more. Members also receive a 10% cash reward on eligible purchases for 30 days following their visit. While most insurance plans cover the vaccines at no cost to the patient, availability remains subject to local stock. The updated 2026-2027 formula is designed to target currently circulating variants, with experts recommending administration between September and October for maximum effectiveness.
