The expansion follows a strategic assessment initiated in late 2025, when leadership identified the need to move operations west of the Rocky Mountains. By selecting Reno, the company aims to optimize its supply chain efficiency. To prepare the site, the firm partnered with local contractors including Engineered Solutions, Teledata Technologies, and WTR Electrical.
Woodland Direct Expands West with New Reno Distribution Hub
Woodland Direct is cutting shipping times for its West Coast clientele by opening a 47,000-square-foot distribution center in Reno, Nevada. This facility marks the company’s first expansion beyond its Auburn Hills, Michigan, headquarters, positioning the e-commerce retailer to better manage logistics for its fire products and outdoor living inventory.

Senior manager Gunnar Bennethum and warehouse assistant Wesley Davey will relocate from Michigan to oversee the new site. To maintain operational consistency, the team is implementing NetSuite software, a move expected to sharpen inventory accuracy and provide the sales department with real-time product visibility. For president and founder Andrew Ingram, the Reno center represents a critical step in scaling the business to meet national demand.
