The initiative, formalized this August at the 7th Forum on China-Africa Media Cooperation in Beijing, utilizes both the SABC television network and the SABC+ streaming platform. The collaboration has already moved beyond traditional broadcasting, with the fantasy drama series The Starry Love breaking into the SABC+ monthly Top 10 chart shortly after its July premiere.

To manage the influx of content, Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation has deployed its Lychee Media AI Module for automated translation and dubbing. This system combines machine efficiency with human editorial oversight to align content with local linguistic nuances and broadcasting regulations. The programming catalog currently ranges from historical documentaries like The Grand Canal and Architecture China to short-form series, providing a broad look at contemporary Chinese culture.

Building on a decade of exchange, the partnership is set to expand further. JSBC plans to co-organize the China Pavilion at MIP Africa in Cape Town this October, aiming to increase cross-border licensing and explore new opportunities for program curation and audience development across the continent.
