Cutting its maritime journey to Hamburg by nearly half, Chinese battery manufacturer EVE Energy has successfully deployed the Northern Sea Route for lithium exports. The vessel MV Dubai Tower departed Ningbo Zhoushan Port on August 15, signaling a strategic shift toward faster, more resilient supply chains for European markets.

Beyond speed, the Arctic route provides a climate-controlled environment for sensitive lithium products. With summer temperatures hovering between -3°C and 10°C, the route prevents the heat-induced degradation common in tropical maritime transit. Coupled with a 50% reduction in carbon emissions per shipment, the dual-track system—integrating Arctic passages with traditional routes—positions EVE Energy to meet the intensifying demand for reliable new energy infrastructure across the continent.
