Skanska Secures $113 Million Contract for I-395 Bridge Rehabilitation
A $113 million infrastructure project is set to transform the I-395 Northbound Bridge over the Potomac River, as Swedish construction firm Skanska begins a multi-year rehabilitation effort. The contract, awarded by the District Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration, aims to modernize the vital link between Arlington and Washington, D.C.
Operations are already underway at the site. The project is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2029, with the contract value officially recorded in Skanska’s U.S. order bookings for the third quarter of 2026.
