Apex Group has tapped Nick Tomadakis as its new chief product officer in London. Reporting to founder and CEO Peter Hughes, Tomadakis brings two decades of experience from roles at Revolut, Barclays, and Visa Europe. His mandate focuses on scaling the firm’s $3.5 trillion service portfolio through digital transformation and tokenization initiatives.

In the legal sector, Charles Russell Speechlys is aggressively expanding its Middle East footprint by hiring Philip O’Riordan and Afraz Hussain from Clyde & Co. O’Riordan will lead the firm’s corporate practice in Dubai, leveraging his long-standing experience in the Saudi Arabian market. This move coincides with a broader international expansion, including new partners in Geneva, Milan, and Paris, alongside recent office openings in the United States.

Rounding out the industry updates, PIMFA has added Dan Boardman-Weston, CEO of BRI, to its board of directors. Boardman-Weston, who steered his firm’s transition toward a financial planning-led model, will support the trade association’s advocacy efforts. PIMFA chief executive Liz Field noted that his regional leadership perspective provides a vital bridge between local wealth management practice and national industry policy.
