Accro Bioscience Secures NMPA Approval for Phase II/III Vitiligo Trial
China’s National Medical Products Administration has greenlit a Phase II/III clinical trial for AC-201, a small-molecule inhibitor targeting non-segmental vitiligo. The adaptive study, led by Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical Industrial, marks a significant step in developing the treatment for patients suffering from the immune-mediated skin condition.
Fosun Pharma Industrial intends to launch the trial in mainland China as soon as operational conditions are finalized. This partnership leverages Accro’s expertise in regulatory cell death mechanisms alongside Fosun’s extensive domestic distribution and research infrastructure. The collaboration represents a strategic move to address unmet medical needs in immunology, as the companies look to transition the candidate from development toward potential commercialization.
