The new architecture shifts diagnostic capabilities away from static laboratory setups, moving them to the point of care. Operators can now access, monitor, and configure experiments via a secure HTTPS interface on any device. By centralizing diagnostic data, these instruments provide a direct pipeline for large-scale analytics and AI integration, which are essential for continuous, widespread biosurveillance.
Anitoa Links Portable qPCR Devices to Cloud for Real-Time Biosurveillance
Sunnyvale-based Anitoa Systems has integrated enterprise-grade cloud connectivity into its portable qPCR instruments, allowing clinicians and public health officials to manage diagnostic workflows remotely. The update enables real-time data aggregation, facilitating faster identification of pathogen trends and more coordinated responses to potential outbreaks globally.

To address the sensitivity of diagnostic information, Anitoa has integrated a hardware security root of trust module directly into the electronics of each device. This hardware-level encryption renders the units tamper-proof and physically un-clonable, ensuring data integrity from the moment of collection through cloud transmission. These devices utilize Anitoa’s proprietary ultra-low-light CMOS bioimaging sensors, maintaining a calibration-free, low-power form factor that eliminates the need for bulky traditional laboratory equipment.
