The deal funds an expansion of the ongoing atopic dermatitis study and secures resources for a second, follow-up investigation into skin barrier dysfunction.
SciBase CEO Pia Renaudin noted that the pace of patient recruitment in their initial joint study has necessitated this additional support. By scaling up the hardware supply, the companies aim to streamline the transition into the second phase of clinical validation. SciBase, which traces its research roots to the Karolinska Institute, continues to position its Nevisense platform as a primary tool for clinicians managing skin health through early, objective intervention.
