Shipman & Goodwin Opens Dallas Office with Restructuring Duo
Connecticut-based Shipman & Goodwin LLP has expanded its national footprint into Dallas, Texas, by recruiting restructuring partners Rachael L. Smiley and Megan F. Clontz. The move positions the firm directly within one of the country's most active jurisdictions for bankruptcy filings and complex insolvency litigation.
Smiley, who will serve as the Partner-in-Charge of the new Dallas location, brings nearly two decades of experience to the firm. Eric S. Goldstein, chair of the restructuring practice, emphasized that having on-the-ground counsel in Texas provides a distinct advantage as distressed-asset activity increases nationwide. Managing Partner Leander A. Dolphin described the expansion as a strategic effort to enhance service capabilities for clients operating in high-demand insolvency markets.
