The development, situated at 265 and 269 Forest Ridge Road, consists of two five-story buildings slated for completion in February 2028. The site plan features a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, with 25% of the total inventory designated as affordable housing. Wood Partners Breaks Ground on Passive House Project in Concord
Construction is underway on Alta Thoreau, a 237-unit residential development in Concord, Massachusetts. Located 20 miles northwest of Boston, the project marks a shift for developer Wood Partners as it incorporates ultra-low energy Passive House design standards and all-electric infrastructure into its regional portfolio of multifamily housing.

Beyond energy efficiency, the project incorporates sustainable site features including porous pavement to manage stormwater runoff. Indoor and outdoor amenities are designed to support active and remote lifestyles, ranging from Pilates studios and golf simulators to pet spas and community courtyards. Jim Lambert, Managing Director at Wood Partners, noted that the project aims to bridge the town's historical identity with contemporary living standards. This venture expands the developer's footprint in Massachusetts, where it already maintains eight active projects.
