Kempten, Germany, marks the debut of the XLink 2000, a modular datalogger engineered to secure hydrology and urban infrastructure data. By prioritizing encrypted communication and sensor-agnostic architecture, the platform aims to shield organizations from the rapid obsolescence of traditional monitoring hardware in increasingly complex field environments.
Operational management is handled through LinkComm software, which enables remote access and intuitive setup for both analog and digital sensors. Product Manager Peter Schaeffeler emphasized that the system focuses on data availability and security, bolstered by onboard storage and REST-API integration. This allows for advanced configurations, such as pairing quantitative environmental metrics with visual data from IP cameras. To ensure longevity in remote deployments, Ott offers an extended five-year warranty covering electrical surges and accidental damage.
