Titomic Secures $5 Million Air Force Contract for Cold Spray Tech

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Titomic USA a $5 million contract to install a high-pressure cold spray system at Tinker Air Force Base. The deal marks a pivotal expansion for the company, integrating advanced robotic manufacturing to bolster depot-level repair and sustainment capabilities for the nation's largest MRO facility.

The project centers on the TKF 1000 platform, a high-pressure system designed for complex metal additive manufacturing and component restoration. By integrating industrial robotics with real-time quality verification and safety monitoring, the system enables the Air Force to conduct on-site repairs, combat corrosion, and perform multi-material deposition. Titomic USA will manage the integration from its Huntsville, Alabama headquarters.

Jim Simpson, Managing Director and CEO of Titomic Limited, noted that the installation positions the company as a core partner in U.S. defense readiness. Beyond supplying the hardware, the contract includes comprehensive training and ongoing operational support. The company expects to deliver the system by the third quarter of 2027, pending site approvals and coordination at the Oklahoma facility.
