Bygma Taps Stibo Systems to Overhaul Product Data Infrastructure

To manage the complexities of a sprawling Nordic construction supply chain, Bygma is centralizing its product master data on a new platform from Stibo Systems. The move aims to replace fragmented workflows with a governed source of truth, addressing rigorous new sustainability reporting standards and future AI integration requirements.

Bygma Taps Stibo Systems to Overhaul Product Data Infrastructure

Operating across Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Poland, Bygma handles massive volumes of documentation and product certifications. As the company expanded, manual processes and inconsistent data silos became a bottleneck for operational efficiency. The transition to Stibo Systems’ master data management platform is designed to consolidate these records, ensuring that every piece of information—from basic inventory to complex sustainability metrics—is auditable and current.

Preben Nielsen, Group CPO at Bygma, noted that reliable data has transitioned from a back-office task to a core business necessity. The partnership seeks to standardize product information across the group, allowing the firm to meet strict regulatory demands while reducing manual labor. By establishing this foundation, Bygma plans to automate product information management and build a reliable data architecture suitable for future artificial intelligence applications. Adrian Carr, CEO of Stibo Systems, described the project as a strategic move to turn raw data into trustworthy business intelligence, rather than a simple database cleanup.
