Gap Inc. Adds Forerunner Founder Kirsten Green to Board
Kirsten Green, the venture capitalist who founded Forerunner and backed retail disruptors like Warby Parker and Dollar Shave Club, has joined the Gap Inc. Board of Directors. Her appointment, effective immediately, marks a strategic effort by the apparel giant to leverage her expertise in tracking evolving consumer behaviors.

Board Chair Mayo A. Shattuck III emphasized that Green’s background in fostering category-defining companies will provide a new dimension to the board’s oversight. For her part, Green noted that she aims to build on the current momentum of Gap’s portfolio, which includes Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Athleta. The move follows Gap’s recent efforts to expand its footprint in the beauty and accessories sectors, signaling a push toward diversifying its long-term growth strategy.
