The new terminal platform leverages over two decades of operational field experience from Network Innovations to meet the rigorous demands of modern defense missions. Engineers designed the system to achieve full WGS certification and MIL-SPEC compliance, allowing for rapid deployment in under 30 minutes. Its architecture supports multi-orbit connectivity across LEO, MEO, GEO, and HEO constellations, ensuring consistent performance in contested or remote environments.
Intellian and Network Innovations Partner on Multi-Orbit WGS Terminals
Intellian Technologies and systems integrator Network Innovations have launched a collaboration to develop tactical, flyaway satellite terminals designed for military and government use. The platform aims to provide resilient, high-capacity communications by supporting concurrent Mil-X, Mil Ka-band, and commercial Ka and Ku-band frequencies for expeditionary forces.

Eric Sung, CEO of Intellian, emphasized that the project addresses the growing complexity of defense communications by combining multi-band capabilities into a single, rapidly deployable unit. Beyond the WGS-certified models, Intellian intends to release commercial variants of the platform to serve a wider government and enterprise market. According to Network Innovations CEO Derek Dawson, the partnership integrates terminal hardware with specialized field expertise to accommodate the shift toward hybrid satellite networks, ensuring that tactical teams maintain connectivity regardless of the infrastructure available.
