RWS introduces agentic AI platform to automate regulated content updates

The platform, built upon RWS’s existing structured content infrastructure, consists of two core components: Tridion Connect and Tridion Agent. Together, these tools track external regulatory or specification changes and automatically identify which internal documents require revision. By surfacing affected content for human review, the system significantly compresses the time required for impact assessments, shifting the process from days to hours.

Unlike general-purpose AI tools, these agents operate within the established workflows and compliance frameworks already used by firms in the medtech, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing sectors. The system maintains a complete audit trail of all AI activity, ensuring that while the technology handles the heavy lifting of cross-referencing requirements, technical writers and compliance officers retain final decision-making authority. Early adopters, including Arjo, are currently utilizing the preview to refine how these agents interact with trusted enterprise data.

David Alley, SVP of Tridion at RWS, emphasized that the goal is to move beyond experimental AI toward practical, high-stakes application. By anchoring agents to governed content, the platform avoids the pitfalls of disconnected AI tools. Following this public preview phase, RWS plans to move to general availability in 2027.
