Founded in 2009, the Wilmington-based company has built its reputation on identifying friction points in daily device usage. CEO Tim Wu noted that the brand's objective is to expand user capabilities without introducing complexity, a philosophy that now dictates their entire engineering pipeline. This approach has yielded recognition in the industry, including a 2026 IFA Innovation Award for their Cyclone magnetic charging pad.
ESR Rebrands to Reflect Evolution Toward Simplified Tech
After shifting from ESR Gear to ESR Tech last year, the global electronics brand is debuting a new visual identity centered on the mantra "Tech Made Easier." The update replaces the company's legacy aesthetic with a lowercase wordmark and a flexible design system intended to unify its diverse product ecosystem.

The rebranding introduces a new geometric typeface, ES Build, and a broader color palette to replace the firm's signature green. According to Senior Vice President Sarah Zhang, this visual overhaul provides a more consistent framework as the company expands its reach beyond core accessories. Moving forward, the brand is also pivoting toward more sustainable material sourcing and increased product durability, signaling a commitment to long-term value for its 130 million global users.
