The new equipment addresses the unique demands of obstacle racing, which requires a precise balance of running speed, climbing agility, and rapid braking. Both models feature Vibram outsoles equipped with Megagrip compound and Traction Lug technology, alongside a performance-woven upper designed for rearfoot security. The R1020 is engineered for explosive 100-metre sprints, while the R1010 targets longer 400-metre and 3-kilometre formats.
Professional athletes from various countries tested the gear at the Beijing championships, providing feedback to the development team. The Chinese Modern Pentathlon Obstacle Race Team wore the shoes during the competition, marking a significant showcase for the brand. CEO Nan Liu, who brings over three decades of industry experience to the project, stated that the development process relied heavily on direct athlete input to refine the footwear’s response to changing surfaces.
